Poreč International Parachuting Championship 2024

The fourth international parachuting competition, Poreč International Parachuting Championship 2024 (FAI Cat. 2 Event), is evolving into a more attractive competition for sports parachutists in the challenging discipline of accuracy landing. Poreč has long been recognized as a city of sports, and in recent years, Aeroclub Cumulus has been developing an increasingly popular aviation sport. The city of Poreč, with its accommodation and catering facilities, meets high standards required by world-class athletes, but this would not be enough if Poreč were not located in a very favorable meteorological zone. Good organization of the sports part, along with excellent overall destination offer, brings one of the best world parachuting teams - Qatar and the United Arab Emirates - to Poreč, who for the third consecutive year are conducting their basic parachuting preparations and participating in one of the first world parachuting competitions of the season. The beginning of the season is important to everyone, so in addition to the aforementioned teams from Qatar and the UAE, teams and individuals from Slovenia, Austria, Denmark, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Italy, Hungary, and Serbia have announced their participation, while a large number of sports parachutists from Croatia are also expected. At this moment, we are awaiting good weather conditions for the weekend of May 20 and 21 when the competition will be held over Poreč, and precise landings on the target of only 2 centimeters will be made on the plateau of the Peškera bay, immediately next to the core of the old town of Poreč. Poreč IPC is held with the support of the City of Poreč and the Tourist Board of the City of Poreč.
